Q1 - What is the lesson format?
The lesson will generally include: questions, theory, practice, exam questions and model answers.
Q2 - Which exam board are you teaching?
The sessions will cover the theory and questions which will cover all GCSE exam boards.
Q3 - Will this benefit my child in year 10?
The theory and exam question practice will most definitely help year 10 and 11 students. The specification is the same and the delivery of key aspects will work wonders for anyone attending the sessions. In summary, this will help year students by:
- Helping them with the learning more of the theory and questions for their end of year mocks
- Giving the more confidence in class
- Helping them improve their marks
Q4 - Which subjects do you cover?
Our first subject launch was Maths, we have now launched Physics, Chemistry and Biology. From our student surveys, we have found that these are the subjects students struggle with most.
Q5 - Is the weekly lesson live?
Yes. Our experience has taught us that the best way for students to learn is to attend a weekly class giving them weekly realistic learning targets and outcomes.
Q6 - I can't attend the live lessons as I am busy, are there any other times available?
No problem. You can catch-up on the lessons in your private login area. These will become an invaluable resource for revision as you can access these for the whole year.
Q7 - Will I be able to effectively learn through a computer?
Yes. The entire world has shifted during the Covid pandemic and many teachers now give online lessons. Students from all of the world have experienced the benefits of learning online. Many students have preferred online lessons as they save lots of time and expense. While we believe that nothing can replace physical teaching, in the given situation, virtual teaching is the next best thing – it gives major benefits with a wider reach and low costs.
Q8 - Will there be homework?
We will recommend online resources that can be used for homework and extra practice. But at this scale and low price, we are unable to mark this for the students. Students and parents will need to come together to manage this.
